Centre for Civil Society is organizing another edition of its Certificate Workshop on ‘Fundraising & Grant Management.’
About the Workshop
The online workshop will provide the participants with an introduction to different key aspects of Fundraising. These key aspects include - understanding the fundraising cycle, different approaches and methods for fundraising, and understanding the best practices for grants and contract management. Furthermore, we will also master the skills to effectively manage relations with Donors enabling us to reach out to and retain new donors.
What is the eligibility criteria?
The workshop is open to all individuals interested in delving deeper and understanding the intricacies of fundraising and grant management. The course is highly beneficial for People who work in nonprofit, civil society, community-based organizations, and social enterprises and are looking to raise grants. The course content also extends to program and project managers who need to raise funds, communicate with funders and/or understand how fundraising strategy works.
About the Speaker
Bhakti is a doctoral candidate at the School of Management, University of St Andrews, UK, researching the limits and possibilities of contemporary philanthropy. Prior to her turn to the academy, she spent eight years working with nonprofits in India in roles spanning organizational development, fundraising, strategic partnerships, and grant management. She has led fundraising efforts at the Centre for Civil Society and served as a fundraising consultant with organizations like the Trayas Foundation and Adhyayan, among other fundraising advisory engagements. She has also been a Guest Faculty/Mentor with the Indian School of Public Policy and the Global Policy, Diplomacy, and Sustainability (GPODS) Fellowship, coaching students and young professionals in fundraising and grant management.
Bhakti has been CSIP Philanthropy Research Fellow at Ashoka University, a DAAD Research Fellow (Germany), and a graduate of the Asia Institute of Political Economy (The Fund for American Studies/George Mason University, USA). She holds a Master's and M.Phil degree in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.
